Pytanie #1:
I have appealed...
I see no harm in this Question.
Can I get support from staff?
Will you comment on my poem?
that guy on first base
better be on my team
I know what you're saying
to you it don't matter
who they've been or
their average as batter
but when they talk to me
outside the pen
I want to know
I have a real live friend
I am the pitcher
I have to be keen
this is my life
when it's here on the green
that guy on first
can't lose eye contact
and the balls
will be coming fast...so
if they happen to be lying
It will split them in half
The answers were very good.
I seem to be getting all my poetry question deleted by the community
answers too...Can you help?
I know what you are saying...but so many other poems on the the site are posted....The comments do help others...
yes I put it in the poetry section
my mom is not allive anymore and ..
will you rate my poem?...is a common question....

Pytanie #4:
[Thanks to SIN for the inspiration.]
I wrote a poem that went like this...
Caveat emptor is an empty cavail
The Rube Express has already set sail
The buyers united
keep each other afrighted,
and at last I end up with a sale.
...and tried to sell it online.
The bidding was fierce and contagious
even though it was just my first time.
The bidders leaped nickle and dollar
until halfway over the fence.
and then when they got really outrageous
they switched over to nickels and cents.
At last some fine art lover
spent $100 and fifty on my poem.
A shock when the meter went a cropper
when she finally got the thing home.
So my last online poetry sale
had the dear frightened ones by the tail
till one queen of the rubes
won out by a few pubes
Now she displays my art on a nail.
(How much would THAT one be worth?)

I'm waiting for a statement something like, "Well this so-called poem certainly should be trashed."
On Writing Poetry

Words must be

At the end
most of them

Peter, I am still very insecure with regard to talking on this site about my first love--the ocean. I read the Sonnet, but cannot respond to it at this time.

Pytanie #7:
He makes me so happy in how he treats me lovingly, cuddling, spending time but he doesn't ever go out of his way to show me how much he loves me. I've told him that I would like it if he wrote me a love note or something or made me a mixed love CD or sang a song to me. He heard me out and said ok he'll try but he never has it's been a looong time since I first told him that. I gave him a lot of time to do something (more than 6 months) but he never did. When I recently asked him about it I said did you forget about that? He said he did forget and felt bad. Now its been a few weeks and still he hasn't made any effort.
He used to write music and poetry and I've seen these writings.
Just now, in desperation I (guiltily and regretfully) went through an old journal from back before he met me. There were pages of deep writings about his exgirlfriends. It makes me really sad that he isn't inspired to write to or about me...I know that I am his best girl because he's told me so but then a part of me questions this because he doesn't do these things anymore. That part of my brain starts thinking that he's just settling down with me and that this xgirlfriend was his biggest love. Maybe he can't even admit this to himself and is in self-delusion?? He also rarely reveals or talks about his past or anything. The things I read were enlightening as to the thoughtfulness and ability he has to write about his feelings.
I love him so much and would die for him. We get married in may and in the back of my head I fantasize that he is secretly writing me a beautiful love song that he will surprise me with at the wedding but my more rational brain thinks not. I'm afraid that his vows aren't going to be more meaningful than the things he's written about those other girls. I'm afraid of being disappointed and also of putting too much pressure on him if I say anything more.
I know I'm awful for looking in his journal but please just tell me what to do and what I should think of this.
It's unfair to say that I "want him to change" Guys all over this forum want their wife to give them more sex like they used to after having kids and their desire to understand and rectify the lacking in that area is legitimate. I want him to be romantic like he used to be. I want to understand him just like those guys do.

On not having achieved any poetry for three months at a time when I really could do with the money
I reluctantly start working hard at trying to produce some poetry to put right my financial situation
Food provides the poetry and poetry provides the food - working hard writing heavenly poetry provides heavenly rewards to the writer
To die having written great poetry that has been valued highly by other people is a great way to die and the payback is so great that even when dying one would continue to speak poetry and spend the last hours of life counting all life's experiences in poetry
To give up writing poetry now would be to produce less poetry and to make less money too, which would in turn mean writing less poetry again..
It would mean I lived for nothing - or that my life was insignificant
If I would give up writing poetry
Pytanie #9:
Okay so i have this assignment due tomorrow, its actually not hard, but im not that smart, anyways we have to make a poem from a poem that was already published.
Example if confused (btw this is the original poem)
So long,
So far away
Is Africa
Not even memories alive
Save those that history books create,
Save those that songs
Beat back into the blood-
Beat out of blood with words sad-sung
In strange un-Negro tongue-
So long,
So far away
Is Africa
Okay so my teacher said we had to make one just like that, but it has to be about fear, this is how she told us to do it, i kinda see it like Mad-Libs but it has to make sense!
So (adjective)
So (adverb) (adjective)
(verb) Fear
(adverb) (adverb) (noun) (adjective)
(verb) (pronoun) (adverb) (adjective) (noun) (verb)

Um, I don't know if you think this is interesting or not, but:
My name is Sassa (pronounced like Sasha). I am a writer, an aspiring actress, and a singer. I finally published two books...a book of poetry and a novella. One is selling on www.cafepress.com/SassaFanShop and the other on www.cafepress.com/sassysassa

I don't have any way to show you my acting. I also have two kids...a 4-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl, who are my whole world. I am German, Cherokee, and Irish. I plan to own my own castle one day, which my hubby and I will have built, and I'm going to design it. I'm going to be going to school soon to get my degree in teaching, photography, and interior design. I want to teach high school creative writing, but I also want to have my own photography and interior design business, while still doing the other things I love and spending time with my hubby and kids. I'm a very strange person with a lot of interests (this is my list narrowed down as much as I possibly could.) :) I have a huge bucket list, which I plan to do everything on it. I love cliff-diving, and I want to travel the world one day. I also plan to drive around the country with my hubby and kids one day and stop at all the important stops (like historical monuments, amusement parks, Yosemite National Park, Ripleys stadium, etc.) I especially want to take my kids to Disney World. I've never been. My parents went without me. So I definitely want my kids to be able to go.
Well, I hope I haven't bored you too much. Tell me about yourself now.
@ Ðar†h AlejandrØ™ Yes, actually, that is quite interesting.
@ ⦅emily⦆☆ I love Asian culture. I used to be perfectly fine on airplanes, but flying with morning sickness ruined that for me. :) LOL!! And no, you're not a boring nerd.
@ pangela17 Good for you. That's awesome! It's good to have morals, and I look young for my age too, or so I'm told. What do you think? I'm 26.
@ Sreeraman oh, come on. That can't be everything about you. I'm sure you're more complex than that. :) What are you into? I love sports, video games, art, and several other things.
@ BabyGirl, soo cute. I love those names. I'm addicted to the Sims 2 & 3 and Yoville.
@ Jessica rotflol You are freaking hilarious! You are definitely very interesting! My husband and I speak sarcasm too, but it's basically his only language. :) As for the anime, I made fun of my hubby for watching DragonballZ, but now I'm addicted. Shhhh LOL!
Also @ pangela17 my daughter is either lactose intolerant or allergic to milk. She's 2. She loves macaroni and cheese, so I have to take hers out before I put the milk in and make hers with soy milk. It's crazy because the doctors keep saying they don't think she has a problem with it, but she gets really sick whenever she has milk but not when she doesn't. So I know there's something going on there. She was sick all the time...fevers and everything else. She's a lot better now that she's on soy milk, though.

“I Am I”
With Apologies to Cervantes
and to lyricist, Joe Darion and music writer, Mitch Leigh
I am I, not Quixote, no Queen of my world,
My destiny called and I let it unfurl,
I know not the future, but fight no windmills,
With poetry only my last days are filled.
I speak with my words, sometimes sharp as a knife,
But softly I speak of my loves and past life,
And soon in the future, I’ll meld with the sea,
Wish for reincarnation as a dolphin to be.

hey, i have sleep paralysis - quite bad. i sometimes wake up paralysed and with this i can have visual hallucinations and noises, including music and poetry (apparently this is quite rare). lucid dreaming is also common and i've even experienced what seems to be leaving my body before (possibly only another hallucination, i'm not sure where i stand on that yet) and i was wondering whether anybody has had similar experiences, and how to get rid of them. It is really quite scary when you wake up paralysed and i wish to somehow get rid of it as well as hear others experiences on the matter :) thanks

Remember to activate the Style and Grammar feature in Word so that you will have advice about spelling and grammar.
will someone make an essay (rough draft) about defining poetry please? ^btw that is what the class says to do

I was asked to write lyrics and this is what I have, I have no idea about this area of 'poetry' so can anyone critique me to let me know how I did?
Awake
Awake, again, like always
Why can't I have one night without a single thought of you?
Asleep, you'll be, like the old days
Why is it that life without me doesn't seem to bother you?
I sit, I stand, roam in the hall ways
Why don't I just pretend, pretend that you're tormented too
and there are a lot of lights on for three o'clock in the morning
You see that's how the rest of us, the rest of us atone
Sure are a lot of lights on for three o'clock in the morning
At least a sleepless night is never spent alone
Yet you
Never look tired, you never look sad
You only look indifferent
You only look indifferent
And you
Always seem fine, almost seem glad
Why can't I feign indifferences?
Indifferences to what we had
And there are a lot of lights on for three o'clock in the morning
You see that's how the rest of us, the rest of us atone
Sure are a lot of lights on for three o'clock in the morning
At least a sleepless night is never spent alone
I'll sleep, I guess, wake in a strange place
As daylight stains the darkness that had before consumed
I've strayed, it seems, I can see no trace
Of the person who existed before the bodies were exhumed
I'll stay, I know, I'll even embrace
This novelty within me but I am nothing but entombed
And there are a lot of lights on for three o'clock in the morning
You see that's how the rest of us, the rest of us atone
Sure are a lot of lights on for three o'clock in the morning
At least a sleepless night is never spent alone
And I'll
Never be fine, never be glad
Never be indifferent
Never be indifferent
And I'll
Always be tired, always be sad
How can I feign indifferences?
When indifferences the only thing we never had.

Pytanie #40:
There is this boy I really like, he has a scene type haircut and listens to screamo and writes a lot of poetry. I have never been so smitten.
I told him I liked him and he said he liked talking to me but his feelings don't start to evolve until he really gets to know someone.
So we have talked a little bit here and there, but I never know what to say, so he ends up not replying, because most of my messages or comments turn out to be rhetorical.
What can I say now without looking like I'm just pulling things out of thin air to get him to talk to me? I invited him to a bring me the horizon concert but he hasn't gotten the message yet, we both love that band.
We also haven't hung out in the world outside of school where I occasionally see him. I am afraid to ask him to hang out since I already told him I like him and I don't want to sound desperate or stupid.
Any help would be amazing.

I didn't write it:
We can speak only in metaphor of the eternal and infinite. If we wish to describe the indescribable, we can do so only by poetry. All endeavors to reach God by words resolve themselves into religious poetry. When we experience the hidden, the unfathomable, we can respond with the devoutness of silence—or with poetry and prayer we can sing of the ineffable.”

Okay, I've loved the band Garbage since they appeared on the scene in the mid-90s. And every song Shirley Manson (she's the lead singer) has written I've related to, every single word. It's like she's reading my mind and making poetry out of my thoughts! Plus I think she's gorgeous and charismatic and she and I are a lot alike.
So I was thinking of getting a portrait of her in this pose:

Pytanie #47:
So, Im starting to get into poetry, and I wrote a poem about backstabbing friends and I was wondering if you would like it!
We were friends, everything was fine.
Until that one day when apparently I just crossed the line.
I dont remember exactly what happened. It was all a blur.
I leave, and now your bestfriends with her.
What happened the time that i was away?
So what if i stayed an extra day.
You shouldve been waiting when I came back.
Now sincerity is one of the many things you lack.
All over a guy.
You think i might die
Without you in my heart.
The sad reality was I knew the friendship was crumbling apart.
Today some useful knowledge was earned.
Backstabbers only succeed when your back is turned.
Pytanie #48:
Ok well I met this guy on a poetry website. I've been talking to him for about 4 days and I really like him (like him, like him not just friends) he wants to text me but I'm afraid he'll find my area code and stalk me because he told me he was a hacker which isn't the same thing I know but they're vaguely connected (a white hat stalker). But he's on vacation and I haven't talked to him for a while and I really miss him! Should I do it?
Pytanie #49:
its not that its unattractive it just weirds me out with her depressive poetry and body jewelry. she has a lot of odd pets too. she is a wonderful girl that i love to bits but her new style is very much of a turnoff. she dyes her hair a new color every week and when we try to be intimate she says things that are a bit creepy. i don't want her to think i'm trying to change her or anything, just that its really hard to be turned on when she acts that way. how do i tell her?
Pytanie #50:
